UNIÃO DOS SLOVENOS DO BRASIL (UEB) is a non-profit organization that aims to promote and disseminate Slovenian traditions and culture among all its compatriots, descendants and supporters.
Among our actions we offer courses on the slovenian language, organize of lectures, conferences and exhibitions with emphasis on the Slovenian artistic, historical and cultural traditions.
We operate in cultural production through the translation and dissemination of books and literary works* and in the generation of content for our community through portals, blogs, social networks and other communication channels (register in our “News Letter” to keep up to date) about our actions and news).
Our Slovenian courses cover not only the language, but also cultural, artistic and everyday aspects of life in Slovenia.
We are an important vector for promoting the country to the whole of Brazil, in the aspects of culture, cuisine, tourism and current events, as well as a reference point for information to Slovenians traveling to Brazil.
Our traditional face-to-face events in São Paulo, highlighting the typical cuisine led by chefs Valdeir and Klaus Vidrik, annually attract several members of the Slovenian community spread across Brazil.
As an organization, we also have the objective of promoting charitable activities with a focus on improving the quality of life of the entire community, including the needy, disabled and the needy population as a whole;
With a focus on the future and the multiple possibilities that technology provides us, we want to unite the community by providing technological tools, making it flexible and promoting social and professional interaction between all, preserving and disseminating the history of our ancestors, ultimately multiplying and disseminating our goals and results.
